So this is what the class is all about...
The CPR class is approximately a 3-4 hour class that encompasses the American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines. The goal of an AHA course is to prepare students to deliver effective resuscitation. The recommended renewal interval for all AHA courses is 2 years.
There are different classes available. Classes include:
- CPR/AED
- First Aid
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Course
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-valve-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED, and relief of a Foreign Body Airway Obstruction. The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients in a wide variety of settings, both in and out of hospital. At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
1. Demonstrate on a manikin the current sequences and techniques for CPR
2. Use of an Automated Defibrillator
3. Relief of foreign body airway obstruction for adult, child, and infant victims
Classes can be held in just about anywhere, whether it be in the home or an office.
